Things are feeling semi-normal over here. Ben just started a leadership rotation, so he is working fewer hours and has most mornings off, which I am really appreciating. We are waiting for a wave of interviews to start flooding his email and sending him off to far away places (some of us more excited than others about this part). Things are beginning to seem surreal. We move in 9 months, how crazy is that!?
As the fall slowly begins to find its way to Indiana we decided to take advantage of a cool morning by heading to an apple orchard. I love walking the isles of the overloaded trees that always seem to be carrying way too many apples on their branches. I love the bright contrast of red delicious apples against the vivid green leaves of the tree. I love taste testing each kind of apple and trying to decide the very best one to fill our bag up with. I love sipping hot cider as we stroll through the pumpkin patches.
Last post I said I was on the search for a good read and I picked this one up at Target last week while grocery shopping. I’m only a few pages in so I’ll let you guys know how I like it. Also on my list to read are A Love Letter Life ( I have it preordered), Embracing the Broken, The Best Yes, Mercy like Morning and Cozy Minimalist Home.
It’s been a good week here in the Ryan household. Hoping to bake an apple pie this morning for a cookout tomorrow, wishing I could share a slice with you all.
Happy Friday!
