Hello, my dear readers. I hope you are starting your Monday off on a high note, because as we know Mondays can be quite drag after all.
I’m sitting at our mini kitchen table, sipping hot coffee as the rain drips down the window beside me. It’s my absolute favorite type of morning.
This morning I was thinking and realized I have never done a post to give you guys some insight about who I am and why I started this blog, so sit back and grab your favorite warm beverage on this damp morning as we journey to my vulnerable side.
For those of you who don’t know, my name is Tianna Ryan and I am the voice behind a lovely fare. I am recently married (6 months) to my sweet husband, Ben and we have a pup named Stella who we adopted two months ago from a nearby shelter. We live in downtown Indianapolis, but are both not originally from here. We actually moved here this past summer for Ben to continue his third and fourth year in medical school. We are an Air Force family as well, so in about a year from now we will be relocated for Ben’s residency.
I love to read, write, take bubble baths or just spend some good ole quality time with my family. I have an odd addiction to watching Kelly and Ryan every morning at 9 a.m while I drink a cup of warm black coffee. I am one of those “tom boy” (I blame it on the fact that I grew up with four brothers) type of gals who loves to play and watch sports, but don’t get me wrong, I still love a good spa/shopping day. During the week I spend most of my time working with kids and walking dogs. I am an introvert and a number 9 on the Enneagram.
Enough random info about us/me and onto the question of Why did I start a blog?
In the beginning, I started this blog to keep my friends and family updated on wedding plans. Few of my friends lived close and I really wanted them to be a part of the process.. so instead of having to fill them in individually, I started writing posts about what was going on. Before long I started getting bored with the wedding posts, because frankly I was just not the type of girl who was thrilled about the details of our wedding. I began to write about random things and really didn’t write too often my freshmen year of college. The blog posts started picking up once I got married and moved away and the topics changed. The blog solely became an outlet for me to be able to write. I didn’t care what it was about or how many followers I gained, I just loved the ability to sit down and type.
Recently, after lots of prayers I have slowly began to write posts called “Letters from Rose”. Although they are’t the only topics on here, they are the posts that I have the most passion to write. The idea is to encourage and give my view on different topics. To start conversations or even just spark thoughts about certain things. I love a good deep conversation about faith and the every day struggles we face. The future for this blog is uncertain, but I would really like to start focusing on “Letters from Rose” with occasional updates about us and random adventures we go on.
I tried not to drag this post out too much, but still give a little inside peek behind the curtain of this blog. I could have wrote for hours telling you random stuff about me and even more about why I started the blog, but I will save that for later. Feel free to ask questions, give suggestions for posts topics, or even tell me what you are doing on this rainy Monday morning.
Hope you all have a wonderful Monday!
